In 1989 Scott opened his first service station in Charlottesville, VA called University Exxon. It was located on Emmet street beside what was then the Cavalier Inn. It was in a prime location and catered to University faculty, staff, and students. This was Scott’s first endeavor at owning and operating a service station versus the singular role of technician.

Since then Scott has owned and operated 4 other locations, including the current Scott’s Ivy Exxon. For the last 46 years Scott’s service stations have been a staple in the Charlottesville area and known for quality service, excellent communication, and ASE certified technicians.

In 2025 will also add State of the Art facility to our list of reasons to visit us. We are expanding Scott’s Ivy Exxon to add an additional 5 bays and upgrade the existing building and parking are. This will offer our technicians a larger, better space for their work, enclosed offices for administrative staff, a larger front desk area for waiting, check out, and for our service writers. With the completion of the expansion we will offer ADAS Calibration and Wheel Alignment services.

We are also excited to announce a little addition to our name. We are now Scott’s Ivy Exxon Automotive & Tire.
